You know, it’s pretty rare that movie producers actually come out and actively deny a movie news scoop on the Internet, especially a casting rumor. As someone who actually writes about this stuff seven days a week, casting rumors are a dime a dozen. Pretty much anyone can make one up, and it’s impossible to call them on it, because it’s reported as rumor, with all the caveats involved. But that’s precisely what Andrew Kosove, whose company Alcon Entertainment is putting the “Blade Runner” sequel with Ridley Scott, has done. The producer reacted to a previous report that had Harrison Ford being in talks to return to play replicant hunter Deckard 30 years after he originally played the role in the original movie. Kosove calls shenanigans on the report, telling Deadline: It is absolutely patently false that there has been any discussion about Harrison Ford being in Blade Runner. To be clear, what we are trying to do with Ridley

“Couples” is a Korean remake of Japanese director Kenji Uchida’s popular 2004 offbeat romantic comedy “A Stranger of Mine”, helmed by Jeong Yong Ki, who previously enjoyed success with commercial fare such as “The Righteous Thief” and “Once Upon A Time in Corea”. Like the original, the new version is by no means a straightforward genre outing, following a series of overlapping tales of various couples whose lives intersect thanks to bank robberies, car crashes and a variety of deceptions. Headlined by popular actor Kim Joo Hyuk (“In Love and the War”), the film is very much an ensemble piece, with support from a host of recognisable faces including Lee Si Young (“Meet the In-Laws”), Lee Yoon Ji (“Dream High”), Gong Hyung Jin (“Life is Beautiful”), and Oh Jung Se (“Petty Romance”). The film kicks off with café owner Yoo Suk (Kim Joo Hyuk) having a particularly bad day, experiencing financial difficulties, still being unable to track down missing fiancé

Wish they would release a trailer for this thing soon, though. Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner” and the live-action “Tex Murphy” PC games are to blame for this affliction, though I suppose there are worst cinematic obsessions to have.
I’m not the Harrison Ford fan I once was. The guy has made some seriously questionable choices over the past few years, and the less said about that whole unsightly Crystal Skull affair, the better. Hell, I even tried to enjoy “Morning Glory”, for crying out loud. So am I excited about the fact that Ford might be reprising his iconic role in Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner” sequel? Well, not really. Truth be told, I’m just not that interested in seeing a gruff, scruffy, aged Deckard trotting around a sprawling futuristic cityscape in search of Replicants. No offense to Ford, but I don’t know if he’s capable of returning to the role at this stage in the game. Feel free to crucify me now. Anyway, nothing’s been confirmed as of this writing, so this entire article may become entirely irrelevant as soon as someone flatly denies the rumor. What do you think? Am I being too hard on poor Ford?

Superman was, literally, beaten to death. At the time, I wasn’t much of a D.C. reader. Sure, I might have picked up the occasional cool Batman crossover or Lobo special, but I didn’t have regular D.C. titles reserved under my name at the local comic book shop.
Although I’m quick to pick on the company for taking big-budget ideas and systematically crapping out low-budget rip-offs, I actually enjoy the vast majority of the movies The Asylum releases. Director Richard Schenkman’s “Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies” looks to be no different. The film follows the adventures of the bearded president as he battles legions of the Confederate undead, a literary concept that is currently being transformed into a motion picture by a major Hollywood studio. And while I honestly don’t think its glossy counterpart has anything to worry about, I think I’m more curious about this production than “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”. And while I’m drawn more to his action-oriented endeavors, I won’t pass up an opportunity to watch the busy actor portray a priest in horror flick. Writer/director gives the big guy an opportunity to do just that in his upcoming exorcism effort “The Cloth”. Sure, there are other actors in the film, and it does feature some pretty nifty creature effects, but Trejo is the real reason for my interest. I’m sure that’s why they hired him in the first place. Here’s what the movie is all about: The Cloth is a thriller centered on a secret organization formed by the Catholic Church to counteract the rising cases of demonic possessions across the country.
According to the folks at Film Smash and Asian Media Wiki, the promising South Korean anthology “Doomsday Book” began way back 2006, though financial woes caused the production to crash and burn. Roughly six years down the cinematic road, directors Kim Jee-Woon and Yim Pil-Sung have decided to finish the film, which will consist of three genre-friendly short films. Judging from the photos you’ll find embedded way down below, this one looks pretty spiffy. Check out this detailed synopsis: “Creation of Heaven” (Kim Jee-Woon) – A robot, which works at a temple, finds enlightenment. A robot repair man named Park Do-Won (Kim Kang-Woo) and a Bodhisattva Hye-Joo (Kim Gyu-Ri) then try to protect the robot from the robot company. “Wonderful New World” (Yim Pil-Sung) – A pure young man (Ryoo Seung-Bum) turns into a zombie. “Happy Birthday” (Kim Jee-Woon & Yim Pil-Sung) – A smart man (Song Sae-Byeok), who graduated from KAIST, begins to live with a robot. “The Doomsday

The latest chapter of the groundbreaking saga that began with 2000′s hit sci-fi film Pitch Black and 2004′s The Chronicles of Riddick reunites writer/director David Twohy (A Perfect Getaway, The Fugitive) and star Vin Diesel (the Fast and Furious franchise, xXx). The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however,

I could be wrong, but I don’t think good things are currently happening to Olsen’s character in the poster. Call it a hunch. Olsen stars as Sarah, a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family’s secluded lake house during a trip with her father and brother. Supernatural shenanigans befall the poor girl, slowly but surely driving her towards the edge of madness. Or does it? “Silent House” is supposed a “real time journey, experienced in a single uninterrupted shot”, but I’ll leave it up to you to decide if that’s true or not. The film opens March 9th, 2012, and the new poster is below. You can check out the trailer above if you missed it the first time around

Yeah. Excited yet? The remake will be brought to you by Fede Alvarez, who wrote and will direct (with a script rewrite by Diablo “Juno” Cody). It will be more of the same, but with some differences. This time around, there will be no Ash character, though pretty much everything else will be the same as the Raimi film, including kids in a cabin, demons being summoned by a Book of the Dead, and other deadite shenanigans. Sexual violations by way of tree branches may or may not be repeated. With a leading man in the cabin, the production now needs to replace Lily Collins, who previously thought about joining, but then ultimately decided to bail for greener — and no doubt, less bloody — pastures. It’ll make the show easier to sell, of course, and that’s probably the point. So what’s “Revolution” about? A high-octane action drama following a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. Now that’s an intriguing premise. I don’t even know how that even works on a conceptual level, but it’ll be fascinating to find out. Kripke, of course, is the creator of “Supernatural” on the CW, about two brothers who scour the Midwest killing demons and saving the world. The premise is simple really, Osama Bin Laden returns from the dead as a flesh-eating zombie and raises an army of zombie terrorists. Take a moment to let that one sink in. And of course there is a trailer for “Osombie”, which is embedded below. There are explosions, deserts, blood, shirtless dudes, and, of course, zombies. Like I said, I’m having trouble coming up with things to say about this movie. How about this: balls. It certainly is a bold move to make a film about zombie Bin Laden. Then again, I’m a big fan of Nazi-zombie movies, so who am I to judge? A bit soon? Perhaps. But you know what? Good for director John Lyde and writer Kurt Hale for just going for it. After all, the film has earned almost $100 million worldwide from a meager $1.5 million production budget, including $54 million at home. It’s also earned $7 million in DVD sales. Not bad for a movie that succeeded almost purely on word of mouth. So of course they’re going to do a sequel. To lamented that even though Shangri-La was a beautiful place to film, nearly half the film crew grew ill due to the high altitude of the region and the tight schedule of the shoot.

We’ve recently noticed that a fair number of you have been bringing your tumblelogs over from Tumblr to WordPress.com using one of the variety of Tumblr to WXR conversion tools which exist on the web. We thought you would appreciate an easier way to import your content, so we bring you 3 easy steps to import your content.
Authenticate with Tumblr
To bring your tumblelog’s content to WordPress.com, head to Tools → Import in your WordPress.com dashboard and look for the Tumblr importer. If you don’t already have an account here on WordPress.com then head over and signup first.

Click the link to get started and then enter the email address you used to sign up to Tumblr, your Tumblr password and click Connect to Tumblr.

Start the Import
The importer will then fetch a list of your blogs and let you pick which one to import. Click Import this blog to get going.

Once you have started, the import progress will be shown on the import page and you will be sent an email when the import is finished. We try super hard to make sure that all your Tumblr content, including your Videos, are imported into your WordPress.com blog. Videos you had uploaded to Tumblr are imported into VideoPress and other embeds are converted to use shortcodes. Sometimes the importer finds an embed it can’t convert and a list of these is included in the import completion email for you to check.
If your Tumblr site has a custom domain (like you.com instead of you.tumblr.com), then you’ll need to disable the custom domain temporarily while the import is processed. You can do this by going to your Tumblr Dashboard, clicking on the Settings button and then un-ticking the “Use a Custom Domain” checkbox:

Then you’ll want to set up Domain Mapping on your WordPress.com blog so that your readers can use the same domain to reach your site as before.
Style Your New Site
WordPress.com supports Post Formats which allow you to distinguish between the different types of content you post on your site. While you wait for your content to be imported why not customize the design of your site by picking one of our post-format-enabled, Tumblelog-ready themes.

If you have any trouble importing your blog you’re welcome to contact support where one of our Happiness Engineers will be glad to help out. To learn all about WordPress.com’s features, we encourage you to check out our handy tutorial. We also provide comprehensive feature documentation at our support site.

For a guy who has delivered as many good movies as he has, and has a buttload of critical acclaim to show for it, Darren Aronofsky sure is having a difficult time getting an A-list Hollywood leading man to front his epic “Noah” movie. What’s an Award-winning director gotta do to get a movie star in this here biblical epic? Lots, as it turns out. After failing to get Christian Bale, the “Black Swan” director then set his sights on Michael Fassbender. Now that THAT hasn’t worked out, Deadline has Aronofsky now looking to Russell Crowe and Liam Neeson, with Crowe for the Noah part, and Neeson for another pivotal role. Obviously the fact that two “hot” actors have already turned down the part and Aronofsky is now going after Crowe probably doesn’t do the actor’s ego any good. This could very well go the way of the “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” movie, which has been having a dickens

Josh Trank’s “Chronicle” opens this Friday, but until then, here’s a new, final trailer for the film. I could do without the rapping, but whatever, I hear you kids love that stuff. The film is getting such good reviews with the studio folks that Trank is getting all kinds of offers to direct big-budget superhero films. That’s gotta be a good sign, right? By now you probably already know the plot: three high school teenagers locate something shiny (and red) inside a hole in the ground that grants them superpowers. (Because, hell, what else would mysterious holes in the ground grant if NOT powers, am I right?) The kids use their powers for mischief at first, until one of them decides with great power comes great ability to kick ass and rob people. He, uh, does that, and the other two have to stop him. BFFs no more, as it were. Starring Michael B. Jordan, Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell, Ashley

Perhaps following in the footsteps of his wife, who splits her time between fronting a regular TV show while still finding time to do movies and, one presumes, attend to her wifely duties at home, Kevin Bacon is giving TV crime procedurals a shot. The actor who has starred in every film known to man (and was more recently in “X-Men: First Class”0 has signed on to headline “Scream” writer Kevin Williamson’s untitled serial killer crime procedural over at the FOX network. In the untitled show (really, guys, how hard is it to come up with a title for your show, or at least a “working title”? Sheesh), Bacon will play a retired FBI profiler pulled out of retirement when “a diabolical serial killer” (are there any other kind?) starts using technology to “create a cult of serial killers”, and our hero finds himself smack dab in the middle of this unholy scheme.
Apparently Paramount, unlike the other big studios, doesn’t think you should have to wait until Sunday for their Super Bowl TV spots. Following up on their release of the “Dictator” Super Bowl TV spot earlier today, the studio has now released the spot for the Jon Chu-directed “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”. I know the spot is only 30 seconds long, but it’s interesting that they’re not even trying to pretend Channing Tatum’s Duke is in this one for any length of time. I don’t think he even shows up in the entire 30-second spot. Curiouser and curiouser. In the sequel, the Joes must not only fight those pesky Cobra fellows and their devious, world-conquerin’ plans, but must also battle the U.S. Government that have disbanded them. It’s times like this that I’m glad I’m secretly a sleeper agent for the Chinese Government. Er, I mean, God bless America! The film, starring D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce,
